Tie-Dying Teeshirts

You will need:
Fabric Dye and associated things -- read the instructions
Fixative
Tee-shirt
Bowl
Water
String
Scissors

Mix up the dye following the instructions that came with it. (NB Make sure that you use a bowl that doesn't matter or won't stain)
Take your tee-shirt and tie little bits of the material into bunches. The best way of doing this is to put a hand behind the tee-shirt and push a finger towards you. Then, using the forefinger and thumb of your other hand, hold the tee-shirt onto your finger and pull your finger out, making a bunch. Wrap some string around the bunch and tie it securely in place.
(NB the longer the bunch is, the bigger the circle that it will make. The more string that you wrap around, the wider the line of the circle is.)
Place the tee-shirt into the dye and leave for the recommended period of time.
Once finished, rinse the tee-shirt in cold water until the water runs clear.
Cut the string off, taking care not to cut the tee-shirt.
IF the instructions on the dye say, wash the tee-shirt as specified.
