One thing that we do quite a lot which we all enjoy is tin-can cooking. Take a large tin -- large tins of dog food, thoroughly washed will do -- and punch holes in the top and bottom of the cylindrical part to allow for air-flow. Light the candle and place a tin-can over it. Wait for the top to get hot and then, using lots of lard, start cooking small bits of bacon, sausages or bread. Or it is especially good for pancakes on pancake day!
