Please Help! (30/01/06) |
| Message: |
Hello
I have just started with the Brownies at 1st RAF Waddington in Lincoln and would love to offer the girls some new songs, but, not being THAT inventive, I wondered if I could be really cheeky and ask for the tunes to some of yours - it's bad enough that I can't sing, let alone offer them one without a tune! lol.
The 2 I would love are the Worm and the Penguin song.
If there is anything I can do in return (but no offers of singing will be accepted! lol) please let me know
Many thanks
Joanne

I've just been looking at your website and it is lovely!
I thought I'd be a bit cheaky and add a request. My sister and I
(both Guiders) are sort of on a mission to get Agnes Baden-Powell
(Robert's sister), who actually started the Rosebuds remembered as
she tends to get forgotton. I was wondering whether you'd consider
adding a mention of her on your page about the founding of Brownies -
Yours in Guiding,
Louise

Oops! We'd forgotten her. She has been added to our How Brownies started page. Thanks Louise! |

Hi,
I was a Brownie and a Girl Guide in England and am now a den leader for cub scouts in Albany, Georgia where we now live. I was looking for the words for The bomb which I remembered and want to teach my wolves (7 and 8 year olds) and saw the words for the worm. I can't remember the tune, can you help? Thanks

I've Just been looking at some Brownie games and noticed yours, I've thought of 3 additional instructions which could be used with this game:
Bow - run to the front of the ship
stern - run to the back of the ship
Report to the captain - everyone runs to the captain

My name is Rachael and my sister is Anna. We both belong to the 5th St Columba's brownie pack; my mum and my granny also belonged to this pack when they were brownies. We just had our 50th anniversery last year.
This is our first visit to the brownies web site and it looks great. I'll have to get our pack
to get organised and set up a web site too.
Good luck and have fun this year in brownies.

I am REALLY impressed with your site - it's amazing! It would be great if our pack could do something like it! We come from West Wales and have 35(!) in our pack and are all Wlesh speaking. We have Gnomes, Pixies, Imps, Sprites and Bwbachod, which is our "native six"! I reall, enjoyed looking at all your self-portraits - they're great! I shall tell all my Brownies about your site and recommend that they visit it!
Best Wishes,

Hi there
I am due to join a Brownie pack next week as a leader. I have not
been involved with the guide association for 5 years and I am
amazed at how much you are doing, I am being cheeky by looking at
all the activities the packs are doing to give me some
inspiration, i especially like the idea of cooking with tin cans.
I hope to get a website up and running of our own, if i let you
know the address I hope you will come and say hello.

Hello (14/06/01) |
| Message: |
My Mom is a cousin to Claire and we found out
about your Brownies from my Grandpa. I just finished my first year as a Brownie
in Maryland. We went camping this year, visited the elderly and sang songs, did
sports day and had lots of fun.
I joined late in the year but now have 4 badges. We wear blue shirts, brown
skorts (coulots), brown sashes and brown socks with black shoes. I wear my
mom\'s Brownie beanie from when she was a Brownie 32 years ago. My favorite song
is Baby Bumble Bee. Do you know that?
What does 20p and plaster mean from your pocket inspection? What is a squirrel
and a badger mean? What are your Gnomes, Spirites, and Leprechaun groups for.
I will share this with my troop in the fall. Send us an address and we can send
you things about us to share like penpals.
Have a great summer!
Your Brownie Sister,
Arden
