Squirrel's Nuts

Each Brownie has a handkerchief tucked in her calottes/trousers. Each Six stands in a corner and there is a tray of nuts in the centre of the room.

The Brownies take it in turns to run up to the tray and take a nut. However, whilst they are at the tray, Brownies from other Sixes can try and snatch away her tail. If a girl loses her tail, she can no longer run up to get the nuts. This carries on until all of the nuts have been taken, or Brown Owl calls "stop"!

Brownies without tails can then go and "buy" them back with some of the nuts that have been collected (eg 3 nuts for a tail). The nuts are then added up and the Six with the most, wins!

Guider's note:
Balls or stones work just as well.
