Groovy Fish
The Brownies sit in a circle with a gap in it. They are named cod, plaice and haddock alternatively. One of the fish is then called out and those with that name get up and start running around the outside of the circle. A series of instructions are called out, sometimes adding other fishes to the "sea". Then, when "shark" is called all of the Brownies carry on running the way they were and go back through the gap in the circle to their seats. The last one back is out.
- Cod -- all of the cod get up and run
- Plaice -- all of the plaice get up and run
- Haddock -- all of the haddock get up and run
- All the fishes in the sea -- everyone gets up and runs
- Tide Turns -- turn around and run in the other direction
- Sea gets rough -- run faster
- Calm -- slow down
- Tide goes out -- WALK backwards
- Tide comes in -- Forwards again.
- Sea freezes over -- stand still
- Sunshine -- Start running again
- Shark -- back to the chairs
